Advantage

1. Light weight and high strength

The fiberglass board is light in weight, and its density is only 1/4-1/5 of the metal materials commonly used for the hull, but its strength is nearly 10 times higher than ordinary steel and more than 3 times higher than chrome-copper alloy. This light and high-strength material can significantly reduce the weight of the hull, reduce the impact of waves on the hull, and improve the speed and energy-saving efficiency of the ship.

2. Good corrosion resistance

Long-term use of the hull in seawater, gasoline and other corrosive liquid environments can easily lead to corrosion and oxidation of metal materials, resulting in damage to the hull. The glass fiber board has excellent chemical stability and corrosion resistance, and can maintain its stability and performance even in wet and corrosive liquid environments, extending the service life of the hull.

3. Convenient construction

Due to the characteristics of easy processing and forming of glass fiber board, it can be easily processed by cutting, drilling, drilling and other processes. It can also be combined according to different shapes and sizes to meet the complex structural requirements inside the ship. Compared with metal materials, its processing technology is simple and the process requirements are low, which reduces the time and cost of ship construction.

4. Good fire resistance

Ships are places where navigation safety needs to be guaranteed, and the fire protection requirements are very high. The glass fiber board has a small thermal expansion coefficient, low thermal conductivity, good high temperature resistance, good fire resistance, and is not easy to cause fire accidents, ensuring the safety of crew and ships.

5. Good plasticity

The glass fiber board has strong plasticity, and can be made into different shapes of boards according to the extrusion process, such as flat boards, thick boards, honeycomb boards, etc. Fiberglass panels can be specially customized to meet different structural requirements inside the hull, such as bulkheads, bulkheads, floors, decks, etc., to make the hull structure more reasonable and stable, and to improve the fuel efficiency and sailing speed of the ship.

Our process

The production process of glass fiber board mainly includes four steps of fiber pretreatment, forming, impregnation and curing.

Fiber pretreatment: cut the glass fiber into long strips of certain length and width, and then wash and dry to ensure that the surface is dry and free of impurities.

Forming: Use a forming mold to fix the fiber in a certain position, cut and splice as needed to form the desired shape and structure.

Impregnation: Pour the resin solution into the prepared molding mold to fully impregnate the glass fibers to fix them together and enhance their strength and corrosion resistance.

Curing: According to the type of resin used and soaking time, the impregnated glass fiber board is cured and hardened at a certain temperature and humidity to ensure its curing and molding.
