FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) daylighting panels can be classified according to different performance and specifications. Below are some common types and their applicable scenarios:

FRP采光板

Classified by performance

Economy

Features: Made with a basic resin formula, it has a light transmittance of approximately 50% and a relatively low cost. Its lifespan may be relatively short, but it can meet the basic lighting needs of some projects with less demanding performance requirements.

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for short-term construction with limited budgets, such as temporary warehouses and simple sheds.

Weather resistant

Features: It has an added UV-resistant film layer with a UV blocking rate of >99%, which can effectively resist the erosion of ultraviolet rays. Even under long-term sunlight exposure, it can still maintain a low light transmittance decay rate and has no obvious yellowing or embrittlement.

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for use in high-altitude areas with strong ultraviolet radiation and in buildings that are exposed to the outdoors for a long time, such as photovoltaic power stations and roofs of large industrial plants.

Insulated type

Features: Generally adopts a hollow structure design, with a low thermal conductivity coefficient and good thermal insulation performance. It can effectively reduce indoor temperature, reduce the use of air conditioning and other cooling equipment, and achieve energy-saving effect.

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for places with high heat insulation requirements, such as warehouses and agricultural greenhouses, which can keep the indoor environment cool in summer and reduce heat loss in winter.

Flame retardant

Features: Excellent flame retardant properties, oxygen index ≥32%, meets UL94 V-0 certification and other relevant flame retardant standards. In the event of a fire, it effectively slows the spread of fire, does not produce molten droplets, and reduces harm to people and property.

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for places with high fire safety requirements, such as chemical plants, densely populated public buildings, and large shopping malls.

Corrosion-resistant

Features: Made with special materials such as vinyl ester resin for acid and alkaline environments, it has excellent resistance to acid and alkali corrosion and can resist the erosion of chemicals such as acids and alkalis.

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for industrial sites with corrosive environments such as electroplating workshops, pickling workshops, and fertilizer plants.

Classified by specifications

Model 750

Features: Effective width is 750mm, thickness range is 0.8-1.5mm, wind pressure resistance rating is 1.0kPa.

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for small factories, warehouses and other buildings where the requirements for lighting and space are not particularly large.

Model 840

Features: Effective width 840mm, thickness 0.8-2.0mm, wind pressure resistance rating 1.5kPa.

Applicable scenarios: It can be used in standard factories, stadiums and other general buildings to meet the lighting needs of large spaces.

Model 950

Features: Effective width 950mm, thickness 1.0-2.5mm, wind pressure resistance rating 2.0kPa.

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for places with high requirements for the width and strength of the panels, such as large-span carports and logistics centers.

Model 475

Features: Effective width 475mm, thickness 0.6-1.2mm, wind pressure resistance rating 0.8kPa.

Applicable scenarios: Commonly used in temporary buildings, simple greenhouses and other projects where cost control is strict and lighting requirements are not high.

steel edge plate

Features: Customizable width, thickness 1.2-2.0mm, wind pressure resistance up to 2.5kPa. The strength and wind pressure resistance of the sheet are improved by adding steel reinforcement to the edges.

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for coastal areas with high humidity or areas with strong winds, such as coastal industrial plants and warehouses, and can effectively resist the attack of strong winds.
