Fiberglass reinforced plastic based on Unsaturated Polyester Resin fire rated for FRP

Unsaturated polyester resin is a linear polymer formed by condensation of unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, saturated dicarboxylic acid, and diols. The preparation methods of unsaturated polyester resin include solution polymerization and bulk polymerization. Unsaturated polyester resin has good processability and formability, and can be used to manufacture various fiberglass products

Classification of unsaturated polyester resins:

1. According to the structure of unsaturated polyester resin, it can be divided into ortho benzene type, meta benzene type, para benzene type, bisphenol A type, vinyl ester type, etc;

2. According to its performance, it can be divided into universal type, anti-corrosion type, self extinguishing type, heat-resistant type, low shrinkage type, etc;

3. According to their main uses, they can be divided into two categories: resin for fiberglass (FRP) and resin for non FRP. Fiberglass products refer to various products made of resin reinforced with fiberglass and its products, also known as fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP or FRP); Non reinforced fiberglass products are various products made by mixing resin with inorganic fillers or using them alone, also known as non reinforced fiberglass products.

Classified by specific specialized varieties, it includes winding resin, spray resin, RTM (short for transfer molding) resin, pultrusion resin, SMC (sheet molding compound), BMC (bulk molding compound) resin, flame retardant resin, food grade resin, anti-corrosion resin, air dried resin, Polaroid resin, handicraft resin, button resin, agate resin, artificial stone resin, high transparency resin crystal resin, atomic gray resin, etc. Anti aging and flame-retardant gel coating, heat-resistant gel coating, spray coating, mold coating, non cracking gel coating, radiation curing gel coating, high wear resistant gel coating, etc., which are used as surface decoration for FRP.
